What happens when a local business has no website

What you're watching

Someone types "plumber near me". Three plumbers come up, each with a website, a star rating, a review count and "Open now". The fourth result is your business, with nothing under the name: no website found. Then the screen fades out and the fourth listing goes with it.

Most people never scroll to the one without a site. They call one of the three they can check out in a tap, and the job goes to them.

Why it matters

Word of mouth still sends people your way, but almost everyone checks online before they call. If they can't find you, or what they find looks abandoned, the recommendation goes to whoever has a site. A simple, fast website closes that gap: it confirms you're real, shows your work, and puts your phone number one tap away.
