Can AI assistants book your business?
More customers now ask an AI assistant to find and book someone for them. Type your website and we'll check whether an assistant can read it and act on it, then tell you exactly what to fix.
What gets checked
Three things decide whether an assistant can use your site. Can it get in? Your robots.txt must not block AI crawlers, and your words must be in the page itself rather than drawn in later by scripts many crawlers never run. Can it understand you? Structured data spells out your business type, phone, area and opening hours, so the assistant reads facts instead of guessing. Can it act? There has to be a way to book or request work online. A phone number alone is a dead end for an agent.
What we don't check
Your Google Business Profile and reviews matter at least as much, and live off your website. Make sure the profile is claimed, the hours are right and the category is specific. Our Google Business Profile guide walks through it.
Common questions
What does agent-ready mean?
That an AI assistant acting for a customer (ChatGPT, Google's AI Mode, Meta's Muse) can find your website, read the facts it needs (what you do, where, when you're open, how to reach you) and take the next step, like requesting a quote or booking, without a person having to phone you.
Does passing this check mean AI assistants will recommend me?
No, and nobody can promise that. Assistants weigh reviews, distance, your Google Business Profile and more. This checks the part you control: whether your website is readable and usable by them at all. Failing it means you are likely skipped.
Why does online booking matter so much?
Agents finish tasks by filling in forms and picking time slots. A page that only says "call us" is a dead end for them, so they move on to a business they can book.
What is llms.txt?
A short plain-text summary of your business at yoursite.com/llms.txt, written for AI systems. It is new and optional, so it carries little weight here, but it is cheap to add.
